Game Concept
  • The 6 million dollar paintball is a project made during Global Game Jam 2015.
  • We were part of a per-made team and so we had to undertake a random name generator as a bonus challenge.
  • The game was designed to shoot money instead of paint balls as a joke to how expensive our game of paint ball can be.

Description of experience during Global Game Jam 2015
After having participated in one GGJ prior to this, my nerves were better prepared and I already knew how we should approach this. A little information before I get into detail is that, I was part of a pre-made team so we had to undertake a special challenge which was the random name generator.

We were required to generate 3 random names and select 1 out of the 3. Then from that we had to come up with a concept that fitted the name and the theme of GGJ2015. From that point on, we came up with what we wanted the gameplay to be, which was a first-person shooter. Then, a story depicting how the theme and the game title connected with each other.

Once we have everything planned out, and the programmers and artists each know what to do. We begin our work, I started working on the sound effects and bgm for the game to set the tone we want to convey to the players. Once, the team is satisfied with the audio choices, I moved on to designing the UI. It was a very quick and simple design. After that, i began to prepare the documents and files needed to upload to the website whilst preparing scripts of what to present or talk about with the inclusion of jokes in the upcoming presentation of our game on the 2nd day of the game jam.
