Game Concept
This here is my first simple 2D platformer prototype which I made during one of my classes. This prototype is used to test out my capabilities of developing a 2D platformer on my own using Stencyl. This is as generic as platformer goes, jump over enemies and obstacles, avoid falling to death, and reach the end of the level.

Project Elaboration
Initially, my plan was to have a boss that roams throughout the level hunting the player down as they progressed. This was too hard for me to implement and I changed it to having the boss appear at specific checkpoints in an attempt to present challenge for the player to overcome. This was impossible to implement within the allocated time frame so it had to be dropped for a more simple idea.

The way I did my testing is by approaching random people, friends or juniors within the course to get them to test out my game. The testing format was for me to record them playing as well as gather feedback and carry out my iterations in my design for every week until the time limit is up.

This gave me a lot of experience in understanding how players react in certain situations and that recording their behavior and actions for later reviewing is very helpful in analyzing data and also to perform changes to the game to cater to the players.
